back to mercurial
Someone in #archlinux was talking to me about SCM systems. We started talking abuot the ones we had used. I was using bzr at the time, and he was using SVN.
He wanted to know whether switching to a distributed SCM was worth considering.
Then Ality was mentioning Mercurial as another good alternative. That got me thinking. I have been having some issues with bzr lately, and I remember really liking mercurial (hg) when I used it. It was fast, and feature complete. I honestly don't remember why I stopped using it.
So..I am going back to mercurial. Checking back in on the project, and it seems they have reached some very cool milestones recently.
From their site:
2006-04-26 Mercurial 0.9 will be coming out soon.
2006-04-18 Chris Mason's RevlogNG work merged!
Reduces disk usage by up to 40%, RAM by 50%.2006-04-07 Mercurial selected for use by OpenSolaris!
Nice work Hg team! Looking forward to using it again. :)
