rss via email

I recently ran across rss2email. I subsequently set it up to email me the planet Archlinux feed.

The setup was pretty easy.

  1. I created a directory, and placed in it the required python files.
  2. I edited the rss2email script, and set a few configuration options.
  3. I added a cron job to run every 10 minutes.

Bam! Rss feed emails in my inbox. No more funky rss feed readers.
As an added bonus, I can now filter the feed emails client side too.
